During the lockdown period, when we were cooking and devouring our dearest junk nosh ( yes you read that right ‘junk’ because you may acknowledge or not it was predominantly detrimental) and binge-watching Netflix laying in bed or on the couch all day long, there was one indispensable element we overlooked dreadfullly. It was our ‘HEALTH’.
I am not considering the people who were responsive towards their soundness, ate nourishing meals, and rehearsed diurnal exercise. But the generality of youngsters who haven’t had a single contemplation in the matter of their fitness or the ones who gazed at their tum with some remorse and desired to slim-trim it as well but were too indolent to either warm-up or surrender processed food.
It is also literal that many of us attempted to ingest nutritious persistently, initiated sweating day-to-day but all the determination to do so ceased in barely 7-8 days as the agony of being distant from our beloved viands, indulging our body in those intolerant lifts and moves was way too profound. Hence, in some or the other manner we all have been in such circumstances and are relatable.

Why discuss ‘OBESITY’ now?
Don’t comprehend me unethical, I am not here to body-shame anyone or infuse you guys with self-accusation or disgrace heeding your body. Looking stout and having a relatively chubby physique is a discrete subject besides getting obese day by day. Your appearance owing to corpulence doesn’t matter but what if it affects your health in a considerably pessimistic means?
We all are cognizant of what complications can obesity foster and why it is minacious.

Moreover, while watching our favorite shows or series we consume sugary drinks and junk food many times which leads to weight gain, fatty liver, and diabetes. Now tell isn’t there any need to follow some healthy practices also to reduce these effects and keep the lifestyle in balance?
Some tips to adopt healthy practices to reduce ‘OBESITY’
- It is not necessary that you follow a strict schedule that includes typical balanced eating and harsh exercises. It’s just that adopt little healthy habits along with current lifestyle and try to exercise daily most probably for 30 minutes or at least 10 minutes every day for sure.
- For some motivation, you can play some songs during a workout suiting your moods such as Soft songs, Romantics, Hip Hop, Folk or Acoustic, Punjabi, Rocking, Party songs, or Workout. It’s a myth that only workout songs will boost your motivation rather the best option is to play songs depending on your mood.
- You can also track your exercise performance, water intake, and calorie consumption so far using some apps such as Healthify Me, Nike Run Club, etc. It will help you monitor your growth and will boost your confidence.
- If you are not a workout person try to balance your diet because exercise contributes only 30% to your fitness, 70% being the percentage for healthy food intake. Add on some fruit and veggies too in your diet. Drink tons of water. Try to eat less junk and consume more protein.
- Also, if you can practice yoga or aerobics daily along with it, there is no better thing than this. It will not only make you fit but remove all your anxiety, boredom, overthinking habit, and will provide you a quality time utilization.
- Moreover, you should also try to get at least 7 hours of sleep at night. Less sleep also leads to obesity.
- Take less stress. In stress you over-eat which further leads to obesity again.
- Reduce your screen time as much as possible. Take a 5-minute break after every hour when you are in front of the screen. It will not only be beneficial for your eyes but will also prevent you from over-eating and getting obese.
These small steps will make a huge difference in the long run. Our body is designed to incline more towards lazy things but your inner motivation can help you achieve whatever you want. Take these healthy practices as a challenge, follow them for 21 days, and turn them into a habit. Our body is like a clay, it will take a shape whatever you will give it. Take it as a motivational post or whatever you want but you should do it for yourself anyhow. Thus, don’t let your body be a victim of extreme laziness and obesity. It’s the worst illness. Start eating healthy and exercise daily 🙂
